| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: In regard to nhtsa campaign number 03v309000 dated august 22, 2003. i have been contacted by yamaha motor company and informed that my 2002 roadstar warrior, xv1700p, is affected by this safety issue and must have the recall work performed. however as of this time no parts are available to replace the potentially hazardous parts. local dealers, myself, and other owners are unable to get any information from yamaha as to when these units will be repaired. the notification letter requests that we not use the vehicle until the repair is made but the best information the dealers can obtain indicates it will be april or may before yamaha has the parts necessary for the repair. since this failure could result in death we are left without transportation until the repairs are completed, whenever that may be. |
