Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Yamaha motor corporation does not have the required parts available to complete the recall repairs. i was told parts are not even being released by the corporation until marach 2004 and that the midwest states would not be a priority due to cold weather. i ride all year long, averaging 18,000 miles each year on my 2002 road star warrior and my kz1000p police motorcycle (my assigned duty vehicle) and i can't understand why yamaha corporation is being allowed to treat it's customers so badly. i called yamaha customer service and was told there would be no warranty coverage on the labor done to fix the transmission recall. they said the dealer would have to stand behind the labor. my dealer can't even get the parts from yamaha to fix the transmission. so now i have a motorcycle i have to make a monthly payment on, but can not ride because it could potentially kill me. i do not understand why yamaha can be allowed to conduct business in this manner. *jb |
