| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Recall of my 2002 yamaha roadstar warrior for a transmission problem. i, and other owners i know, are becoming increasingly frustrated with yamahas delay in getting the new parts to the dealers so the repairs can be completed. it also seems unfair that the are only offering a 90 day warranty on parts, not labor, when the repair requires the complete disassembly and rebuilding of the engine. i have less than 3,000 miles on my motorcycle and the engine is having to be rebuilt due to a manufacturing defect. it seems a new original warranty (1 year/unlimited miles) would be more in order. i can't believe consumers who had new automobiles, and had to return them to the dealer to have the engine removed and rebuilt , would be satisfied with the treatment roadstar owners are receiving from yamaha. i'm still waiting for parts to arrive at my local dealer.*ak |
