| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Yamaha corp. issued a recall in august 2003 and notified customers january 2004. transmission and rear wheel lock up without prior notification. yamaha warned customer do not ride motorcycle. i just purchased this vehicle may 2003. the kits to perform the repairs are not available and i've been told yamaha will warrenty the repair for only 30 days. i'm making payments and providing insurance on a vehicle that i can't get repaired and i have serious doubts regarding the quality of the repair. i can't sell the motorcycle or ride it. due to the recall the value of the motorcycle has been lost even with the expected repairs. i have been without the use of my motorcycle for 60 days which qualifies under the california lemon law, that the manufacture now needs to buy the vehicle back. your help in this matter is appreciated.*ak |
