Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Ford 2003 f350 super duty 6.0 turbo diesel - has a feature on the transmission called tow/haul which is discribed as "engine breaking". ford has changed this program in the pcm and tcm which now allows late down shifting into the lower gears and will not stop the truck as quickly when fully loaded and allows for break fade especially on step downhill grades...........ford did a volntary recall and told consumers it was for emissions, "recall #03e03, pcm recalibration." they did not and have not notified the consumers that they recalibrated the engine breaking circuit.
