Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Our 1999 chrysler lhs suffered what our mechanic said was a "catastrophic" transimission failure. the service engine light came on and the transmission stopped shifting properly and remained in low gear. the transmission had to be completely re-built and the system flushed due to the large volume of metal shavings. because this happen outside the 3/36,000 warranty period, chrysler would not cover the cost of the repairs.*ak
