| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving heard a loud humming noise from front of vehicle. dealer found front hub bearing needed replacement. drivers side was replaced under warranty on 2/20/03 (note: i'm the original owner and vehicle had 27,000 miles when problem first occurred). same problem occurred recently this time on passenger side. dealer replaced passenger side hub bearing on 3/15/04 and cost was split 50/50 with gm and myself (note:46,000 miles on vehicle). furthermore this problem never occurred before with any other vehicle i've owned or any other non-jimmy owners that i know of. from reviewing your complaints and talking to other jimmy owners, this is a widespread problem and a known defect that should be fixed by gm. *ak |
