Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My wife was driving my 2004 chrysler town & country and smelled gas. she pulled over and noticed a small gash in the side of the tank. she obviously ran something over and it pierced the tank. my concern is, how come there is no protective shroud around a plastic gas tank that sits right under my 3 year olds car seat? thankfully she smelled the gas immediately and there was no fire. this may not be the case in the future. i contacted chrysler's customer service hotline and was told there is no recall, to contact the nhtsa. i have also sent an email to chrysler voicing my concerns and am waiting for a reply. please look into this issue to avoid any fatalities. thank you. *nm |
