| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving, the driver side tire blew out. the consumer stated that the tire just shredded. he stated he still had the wheel and what was left of the tire. the consumer took the tire to a firestone dealer, after hearing that there had been a recall on the steeltex tires, he stated that the dealer pretty much kicked him out of the door, stating that his tire was not on recall. consumer stated that he did not have an accident, because of this sudden blow out, but it was because of the handling of his vehicle, which handled very well. the consumer stated that the tire was a steeltex 265 75/16, and had about 45,000 miles on it. he stated he was told that his tire was not included in the recall. *jb |
