Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Vehicle is a 2001 yamaha road star,complaint is regarding crack forming in rear fender from excessive vibration and swaying. which in time will travel full width of fender and eventually fall off causing injury to rider,passenger or vehicles following.yamaha knows of this problem and even replaced all or most fenders in 1999,supposably yamaha reinforced fender where crack was forming now crack is forming in new location.road stars manufactured from 2000 to 2003 are affected by this problem,from what i have come to know 2004 road stars are reinforced in this problem area.many people have this problem and have complained to yamaha but they refuse to see it as a potential safety problem.*ak
