Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While applying the brakes, the pedal went to the floor. a loud grinding noise was heard coming from underneath the vehicle. the consumer was able to drive the vehicle home and contacted a mechanic from the dealer. the mechanic informed the consumer that the vehicle has to be brought in for inspection. *ak when the brakes were applied there would be a distinct grinding or vibrating feeling. the vehicle did not respond when the consumer immediately took his foot of the brake pedal. the vehicle felt as if were free wheeling for an instant before the brakes seemed to take hold. a black box was added to he vehicle to track the problem but was found defective as the dealer checked the results. the consumer was told that the vehicle could not be fixed unless they experienced it as well. the wheel speed sensor cables were replaced. there would be no further repair attempted until the problem could be duplicated by the ford dealer. the consumer was also told that what he was experiencing was normal and that there was no defect. the brakes would become a problem during rainy weather. *sc *jb |
