| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Driving 2000 make volvo v70 on interstate at 65 mph. ets and check engine warning lights come on. car begins losing power, can't slow down or speed up. finally steer to an exit ramp; car dies at bottom of exit ramp. no crashes, but major traffic jams. car completely dead, needs to be towed. viewing internet forums re: volvo, ets warning light and electronic throttle system (ets) problems are a major occurrence and a huge safety issue, judging from the many close calls i've read about similar to mine. dealer replacing the ets module. did not care about my safety. this is a huge issue that volvo needs to deal with. i and my daughter could have been killed, and others as well. *ak |
