Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Check engine light came one. car was shifting hard and "jerking." pulled in to a nearby repair shop and two diagnostic codes were found relating to the transmission. one related to the pressure control solenoid and the other "long shift w/ max adapt". they suggested i take it to a transmission shop. i then took the vehicle to my regular mechanic, he could not duplicate the problem nor could he find anything wrong at that time. he also suggested i take it to a shop specializing in transmissions. i did. they also could not duplcate the problem or find anything other than metal shavings in the pan. they suggested i have the transmission completely rebuilt at a cost of over $2,100.00.*ak
