| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Air bag on passenger side dash has lifted up - the vinyl cover has lifted off. there was no impact or any other reason for this to happen. the air bag is still in the dash and has not imploded but i am fearful that this might happen. chevrolet has said they will review the problem and perhaps may or may not pay 50% to having the air bag repaired which they say means installing an entire new system. i contend that this is a defect and chevrolet should take care of the problem free of charge. chevrolet said because of the year and mileage (62,000) that it is not under warrenty and they cannot be responsible. |
