Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Re: windshield wiper motor failure on my 1997 chevrolet s-10 blazer. i was informed that a recall was issued last year on s-10s for wiper motor failure, that you had to have the vehicle with less than 70,000 miles on it. i had 72,000 miles, therefore did not qualify for a recall. since that time i have been having more and more trouble with the wipers quitting in time of rain and other times. i think gm should replace them no matter what the mileage is. it is becoming very hazardous these days, not knowing when they will work or not. many times i have to get out of my vehicle and get under the hood and jiggle the wires to the motor, which is very annoying. i bought my vehicle new in 97 and was well pleased until this happened. i have come close to having accidents in the rain when they fail. thank you. *ak |
