| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Consumer's vehicle experienced the same defect as mentioned in nhtsa recalls 04v110000: vehicles equipped with 4.0l v8 engines have a condition in which the nylon tubing used in the fuel rail construction may degrade and crack. this vehicle not included in the recall due to vin. *ak a strong smell of gas could be smell inside the cabin of the vehicle. it was later determined that there was a crack in the fuel rail which caused fuel to saturate the engine compartment. the recall indicated that the nylon tubing may degrade and crack, but as of feb 2004 the only part available was made of nylon. *nm |
