Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Our 2001 chevrolet blaze caught on fire while parked about 5 minutes after being turned off. the entire engine and front end are scorched. the interior has smoke and water damage. at this time, we have not heard from our insurance adjuster to know the extent - totalled or repairable? the vehicle had been to the dealer one week prior because the rear tailgate wouldn't open. they replaced the actuator and don't believe their work was in any way related to the fire. we purchased the vehicle from the dealer 10 months ago - it had 31,000 miles on it and we only put 5,000 miles on it. i have filed a complaint with gm and believe that they should be responsible and pay out on the loss - not our insurance company. *ak |
