| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Steering wheel lock up indications are being exhibited. driver information center message "remove key and wait 10 seconds" has appeared a half dozen times over the past 3 months. car is only driven once or twice per week. knowledgeable people in this area advise me this is a precursor to failure of the steering column lock. local dealer and gm customer service tell me my vin # is not included in recall. my reading of recall campaign # 04v060000 indicates my 1997 thru 2000 with automatic transmissions are subject to this defect. local dealer and gm customer service refuse to help with problem. *ak |
