| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Engine noise: this 2000 jimmy with the 4.3 vortec is quite noisy. when starting cold ,about 20 seconds later a lifter will start to rap, then will go away and then back. after coming off the highway, several lifters will get loud. now, i have heard 4 1998-2000 4.3 in blazers and jimmys do this. then dalerships say this is normal...technicians say there is a valve train issue. this is not normal noise..ina ddition, when loading the vehicle, like going up a steep hill, one or two lifters sound like they are ready to let loose.....cause of problem? *ak |
