Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Black smoke and large flames appeared from the vehicle. the fire department extinguished the fire. the vehicle was towed an independent mechanic, who indicated the fuel rail failed. *ak while parked in the parking lot with the key still in the ignition switch but with the engine turned of, the consumer realized that the engine was on fire. the fire may have started while the engine was not running, but the fire wasn't noticed when the engine was off. the fire was possibly started by the fuel rail, this was not an electrical fire per consumer. *sc *jb
