Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2000 full size chevrolet 1500 conversion van. the conversion was apparently done by gladiator. the drivers captain seat bracket broke, and repaired in april 2000. it is broken again. when i turned left the seat and i fell to the right. this created additional stress on the remaining bracket. the repeated failure of this bracket is of great concern to me as i am not secure in a seat with a broken bracket and in the event of an accident my passengers would have to deal with a potential missle as my seat with me strapped in would undoubtedly fly about the cabin of the van. i am taking it to classic chevy in mentor, ohio tomorrow to learn if they are going to repair the problem at their expense. i have had many vans and have never had to have seat brackets repaired. the car has never been in an accident and i am virtually the only person to drive it. i am of average size and in my mid 50's. just so you know that the vehicle has not been abused. *ak |
