Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving 70 mph on the interstate, driver felt a vibration with 2003 yukon xl. within a minute the tire on driver's rear side began throwing rubber. driver was able to pull the vehicle to the side. the driver noticed that the tread belt was completely separated from the tire carcass. spare tire was put on and vehicle was driven to a local tire store to have all tires replaced. the tires on the vehicle when blow out occurred were firestone wilderness le, p26570r16, serial number v672wl11703. the driver took tires to dealership were vehicle was purchased and after insecting the tire they found no nails or any other reason,(driver's fault that is), as to why tire came apart while driving. dealership informed driver to contact firestone to see about possible replacements. the driver does not trust firestone's tires and for the safety of the family replaced the tires with a different brand name. *la |
