| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Was unloading my motorcycle out of the back of my 2001 gmc sonoma when one of the tailgate straps broke. fortunatley i was able to get the bike under control and get my footing prior to it going down, so no injury or damage was done. nothing has been replaced at this time. still have the old part on the vehicle. the other strap is on it's way to breaking as well, you can see by the way the plastic coating is enlarged that it is rusting. gm is recalling the full size vehicle tailgate straps which appear to be of the same concept as these on the sonoma. *ak |
