Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I bought my 1999 odyesse in march of 2004. i took my van to the honda dealership to find out why my driver's side sliding door was not closing completly. they told me that the latches and hinges needed to be replaced totalling $420. they checked my warranty and those parts were not covered. i told them i didn't have $420, to repair the door. one week later the other sliding door stopped closing all the way. i looked up the 1999 odyesse to find out if there were any recalls for this and there are plenty, but when i spoke with america honda they said that my vin number had no recalls. then i spoke with the honda dealership in town and they told me that the only recall for my vin was for the transmission. so, i believe there is a lot being covered up. i have four small children that are ride in this van everyday and from what i have read on this web-site my children are not safe with doors that can just come open when the vehicle is in motion.
