Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: On july 21, 2004, while driving to work in my 1995 oldsmobile aurora, i smelled gasoline fumes. i quickly stopped my vehicle and turned it off. fuel was dumping from the engine onto the road. i immediately moved away from the vehicle. a few minutes later i returned and opened the hood. the fuel had been spraying from one of the nylon fuel lines that run in serial between each of the fuel injectors. i lost approximately 4 gallons of gasoline during this short drive of about 1/2 mile. i was grateful and surprised that the car hadn't caught fire or exploded since so much fuel was lost. gm informs me that there is no recall for this yet they apparently have a similiar problem with one of their chevy vehicles that does have a recall in effect. |
