Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: We had brought our 1999 suburban for a brake problem. the mechanic assured us there was not a problem with the brakes, he went on to say, he also owned a 1999 suburban and the brakes do not stop as well as other trucks. he also said they changed the brakes the next year (2000) 3 weeks later my son was driving at about 25 miles per hour, and the person in front of him slammed on his brakes - he couldn't stop, and he was driving a decent distance away - the suburban rolled over and was totaled. this is very dangerous, and i am sure that other suburbans have had similar accidents. gmc should recall this problem, so it saves people.
