Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The consumer stated the motor home has a harness that was fastened and held together by plastic. in extreme heat the plastic mounts melted and caused a short causing the electrical components to fail. the batteries burned causing the vehicle to operate on the chassis battery. the other battery exploded. vehicle is now at the r.v. center. *jb the red positive cable connecting the batteries to the alternator, generator, chargers and isolator was installed too long by the manufacturer. the excess cable was somehow tucked under the frame but made it's way loose and fell on top of the exhaust pipe and muffler. the heat from the pipe and muffler melted the harness and burned through the cable causing a short and loss of all electrical power. *nm
