| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: It is my belief that the wrong size rear wheel rotors (discs) were installed at the factory on this car. there are apparently two sizes, one for the sedan and a larger size for the station wagon. my station wagon had been given thw smaller size. *ak i have asked audi of america to investigate the issue but they have refused because the rotors were removed and replaced by an independent garage that actaually found the problem. poor braking had been reported to the selling audi dealer on four previous occasions; 7k mles,17k miles, 25k miles, and 33k miles. then, i just gave up. i have the original pads and incorect rotors in a sealed box from the independent garage. i have all maintanence records including four statements of poor braking made to the audi dealer. the problem was not found until the rear brakes were actually looked at and replsced at 115,000 miles. i am concered that there are other audi station wagons out there with the same problem. i would like audi to repay me for the expense of installing the correct rear brakes. |
