Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2003 infiniti g35 sedan with aero package. ravel pan is located under engine and secured to front bumper. the front bumper wore thin through normal driving conditions, splitting the bumper in two pieces along the length of the bumper releasing the gravel pan and creating an air scoop which flaps freely. i believe this is a design flaw. it is poor engineering that would allow the pan to be secured to the bumper cover when the bumper cover (plastic) can be easily worn away by always present concrete curbs in normal driving conditions thus releasing the pan. the edge along which the bumper cover split should be altered or reinforced so as not to impact curbs and wear away.*ak |
