Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I purchased a rv camper cover from adco products 9333 melvin avenue, northridge, calfornia 91324. they advertise that there cover for campers will protected our rv from the weather conditions. we put the cover on december 26, 2003 and took the cover off in the first week of may 2004. on may 29, 2004. i went up on the roof of my rv and noticed that there was long black streeks running down the whole length both on the front and back sides, well i bent down to get a better look and here there is long sections of my rubber roof that is completely worn threw. some of the hole was as long as 15 inches long, it was caused from the cover moving during the winter that worn holes in it. called adco products and they said that lately they have been getting complaints about the cover damaging rubber roofs, but their product was not meant for these type of roofs. but no where on the box or in directions did it state that you should not us it under these conditions. called and told them how much the damages were, but they said that it was not their fault. took our camper to general rv and had them look it over and to fix the damages to it and it total was a little over $5,000, they also said that they get people in all the time from this kind of problem and you shouldn't put of cover on. so why doesn't adco take better steps in letting the public know.*ak
