| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2002 gmc sierra has a braking problem when stopping from a slow speed. i took my concern to the dealer and they said the rear rotors were rusted and may need to be replaced. i think this should be a warranty issue as the truck has 32,000 miles and is less than 3 years old, it is unsafe to drive as it is. they tell me it is because i live in the northeast and is not a defect in materials. in 2002 at a brake symposium, sponsered by the manufacturers, it was noted that gmc took the metal chromium ouof the rotor alloy to save money. chromium resists rust. is there any help available? |
