Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: When i purchased the 1992 acura integra the salesman told me that they had to work on my a.c. because it was not working. when i did take the car home two weeks later my air was not blowing cold so i took it back to the shop and they put co2 in it. every month i had to take the car back so they could work on the air. finally in june the new mechanic tightened up a hose and the air worked fine for about two months. then in the first week of aug. it started acting up again. i took it back to the shop and the mechanic did a diagnostic on the car and said that he needed to do some rewiring. i told i couldn't have it done then but i would bring the car back. on monday of the following week my car wouldn't start. on aug. 17, i had the car towed to first class auto sales where i purchased the car so they could find the problem. i also reminded them that the air wasn't working again and to fix it while the car was there. when i picked the car up on the 19 the mechanic informed me that he had put in the new battery that i purchased and he had also done some rewiring so that the air would work. my children and i were on our way home and i decided to stop at the grocery store to pick up some spaghetti sauce. we were not in the store 5 minutes and when i came out of the store the car was filled with smoke on the inside. when i got closer to the car i saw that the doors were now unlocked and the seatbelt was moving back and forth. i had my children stand back and i popped the hood but there was nothing under there then i heard a crackiling sound and i saw the sparks coming form under the dash. i ran inside the store to ask for a fire extinguisher. by the time we returned outside someone had put the fire out and a police officer was there and he called the fire department and they filled out a report.*ak
