Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Several weeks ago, i noticed a 1/2" vertical slice in the passenger side crash pad coincidental to the left edge of the airbag. i could feel the airbag cover breakout line on the same vertical path a couple of inches above and below the slit. this slit has since grown to 3" and yesterday a similar slit has now appeared on the right side of the crashpad in line with the right edge of the airbag. the vehicle had 35,000 miles at the time of occurrence but was past the 36 month warranty window. this looks like a potentially dangerous situation to me, relative to airbag deployment failure and the car dealer doesn't have a "no cost" solution for me. |
