| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Parking brakes on a 2001 chevrolet silverado. i have 42000 miles and this is the second time the parking brakes wore out prematurally. have never been abused and use normally. the first time around at 21000 miles. parking brakes linning are worn beyond recommended thickness and cannot hold the vehicle. first time i replaced the linnings and will again have to place the linings. never told about premature lining failure when i purchased the first set.i don't belive parking brake lining should wear out at 20000 miles.*ak |
