Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The vehicle is a 2002 honda cb-900f motorcycle (more often known as the 919). returning home in the early hours of the morning, the retaining bolt on the gear shift lever (which also serves as its pivot point) worked loose, causing the gear shift lever to drop off the motorcycle, doing some damage to the gear shift lever (which remained attached to the shift mechanism via a rod and a set of universal joints), but more importantly, i was no longer able to shift gears up or down. due to the hour (about 1:00am pdt) there was no traffic, and i was close to home, so i was able to continue on surface streets most of the way home in 6th gear, until a traffic light forced me to stop the motorcycle, from which point i had to push the vehicle the remaining mile to my home.*ak |
