Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: On 09/22, i filed a complaint with the better business bureau (bbb) about colorado ride the west rv rentals (crtw, 1207 platte river dr denver, co united states 80223 (303)806-0132). i tried to inform local & state. *ak offices of the safety concerns with this company, but have been informed they are unable to assit. i was assured by the crtw representative (kevin) that he would look into it them. after recent discussions and the business practices discussed in the complaint wit the bbb, i feel these safety issue (especially with unit 16c; likely with more of their units) need to be look into before someone gets hurt. 1) the rear wheel well "flooding situation" is serious, and has/is causing damage to this unit. the unit had serious water leakage into and across the bathroom area, 2) the use of re-treaded tires on rv units, and 3) not having a proper spare rim and the equipment needed to change the rim (units travel long distances in remote areas). not having the proper tools to change the spare and having the wrong rim for the spare is unbelievable. i told crtw that the unit would be going a significant travel distance, with two young children aboard. i talked with the bbb this morning and they said that i as long as your investigation doesn't conflict or hamper theirs, it would be ok. i care about the money, but i care more about the safety issues, and feel that it is more important then my $1000. please look into this matter and inform me of anything else i need to do to get this company to adhere to safety laws and put public safety first!! thank you, cj wing
