Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I just recently started to have problems with the signal lights and hazard lights on my 2000 alero. they became intermittent. this has happened only few times.the problem has been sporadic in nature. however, i just learned that there was a recall concerning this problem but i've never received any notices from gm. and now i am concerned about my safety. when i contacted both the gm dealer and oldsmobile hotline, i was told that my vehicle (it's vin#) was not covered under this recall and the repair to my vehicle will not be made for free. please help, there obviously are problems with this vehicle. also, i had to replace rotors and pads 3 times already. first time 3 months after i purchased my brand new alero. since gm considers this as tear and wear they are not covering the repairs. my use of brakes is very light since i live close to highway and my work is very close to the highway. this got to be due to faulty design. there are a lot of people on the web experiencing the same problems with the alero's rotors. replacement is quite expansive and too frequent. sincerely, anita polakowski. *ak |
