Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2000 victory motorcycle with a transmission defect. it often slps out of gear or into a false neutral when shifting. this is merely frustrating when out on country roads, but nerve wracking when in traffic. i am afraid that it will eventually cause me or my spouse to be injured. motorcycles are supposed to shift when when called upon not leave you stranded in ptentially lifethreatening situations trying to find a gear to get you out of harms way. victory is well aware of the problem and has provided replacement parts to many affected owners, while making the owner of the vehicle pay for labor. their decision to pony up is on a case by case basis, but these vehicles are renowned for this issue. why aren't they being forced to accept responsibility before someone gets hurt? *ak |
