| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 1999 polaris victory motorcycle model v92c which was purchased new in 9-00 would on occasion not shift into gear. the shift would feel normal, just that when i would engage the clutch it would free rev as if it was in neutral. this had become more frequent over the last summer. when i contacted my servicing dealer they stated that they may be able to get me a 'goodwill transmission' from polaris for free, but that i'd have to pay the labor. i took the deal thinking it was the best offer i could get, the total bill for the labor was just shy of $1000. this false neutral as it's commonly referred too can cause several safety issues should someone need to quickly move away from danger on their motorcycles. i believe this situation needs to be researched further and addressed. *jb |
