| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I purchased a used 1997 chevy venture van in december 2001. the van is great, except for the automatic sliding door. shortly after purchasing the van, the motor on the door went out. i had it replaced in 2003. towards the middle of 2004, the door would shut but not latch. therefore it would open will the van was in motion. the door is too heavy for my children to open themselves without the automaic opener on. i called the dealership to ask about getting this fixed, because it is a safety issue. they told me that it would cost me for them to fix it, even though there once was a recall for the same problem. i am afraid that someone will get hurt if i do not get this fixed. no one contacts me when there is a recall. i need help. please fix these doors!*ak |
