| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Interior abs light illuminated, then a humming noise heard under the driver side compartment. gmc dealer diagnosed the problem as failure of the abs electronic module unit. they advised me that it would be $1200.00 dollars($800.00 parts and $400.00 labor cost) to repair. this brake failure occurred at 74,000 miles. i'm presently operating the vehicle on just the main brake system, after having disconnected the abs system. i have been unable to find a cheaper after market replacement abs electronic module unit. i have read numerous complaint on your web site about this type of brake failure. hopefully this will result in a recall campaign.*ak |
