Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Approximately five months ago the clear paint coat began to turn white on my black 1999 mitsubishi galant. it began on the roof of my car as a small spot...but then it spread. i took my car to darcars mitsubishi (where i purchased my car brand new back in 1999) to complain about the paint. the guy "told" me that i had my car painted before. i clarified that i never had my car painted before & asked to speak to his manager. i even printed out internet complaints from others complaining about the clear coats coming off their mitsubishi's. his manager also "told" me that i had my car painted. i clarified that i did not appreciate them trying to imply that i was lying. i made it very clear that i never had my car painted before. during this time of frustration a mitsubishi sales rep actually had the nerve to try to persuade me into looking at newer galant's!!! i called mitsubishi headquarters and they told me i no longer had a warranty on the paint. i come from a large family...and we've always purchased honda's, acura's & infiniti's. i was the first to purchase a mitsubishi. what a mistake! i will never purchase a mitsubishi ever again...and i will make sure that everyone i know will not either. i have never had this problem before.*jb
