| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2001 yamaha raptor (atv). i know yamaha is aware of the problem because they fixed it for 2002. every 2001 raptor that i know of has had this happen. i was riding my atv when i heard a loud clung, my chain broke and i went over the handle bars. the transmission had locked up. this is a very common problem with the 2001 and i feel that yamaha should be responsible for the cost of repairing it in the way of a recall. they know they made a mistake and now need to take care of the customer before someone gets hurt. my atv has very low hours on it because of no time to ride. i know some friends that this happened to in less than 2 weeks after the purchase.*ak |
