Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: This is a complaint about britax carseats. i have two of them -- a roundabout and a marathon. i returned the card included with the seat to register the seat and get information in case of recalls. britax now tells me they have no records of me or my seats. they issued a recall of the marathon on august 8th 2004. i phoned that day and every day several times for about a week until i could reach a person. i gave the details of my childseat (product and batch # etc). they said a package would be in the mail to me by the end of the month (august). i phoned again the week later -- they took my details again but this time said they did not need the product number for the childseat. again they said the replacement would be in the mail by the end of the week. when i had received nothing, i called towards the end of september. they said they had no record of me either from the product registration or from previous calls. i gave all information again and they said it would be in the mail at the end of october. i called again in mid october and was told the package would be in the mail at the end of that week. still i have received nothing. my child has been driving around for nearly three months in a recalled seat. i cannot believe this is responsible behaviour from britax. can you investigate?*ak |
