Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a 2002 vw beetle. the seat belt latch became defective, thus turning the airbag system in my car off. i have 80k miles on my car and the repair cost me over $350. vw is refusing to pay for this vital safety issue stating they are not required to repair out of warranty items. isn't there a law that requires auto manufacturers to repair defective seat belts? do i have any recourse for getting this paid for? thanks. *jb |
