| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: At aprox 6000 miles vehicle started making a loud squeeling noise every time vehicle was turned to the left. on first visit to dealer was told that some of them do this and there's nothing they can do. on second visit for same concern they put a "conditioner" in the steering gear box. on third visit i was told there was nothing else they could do. the avm (area vehicle manager) declined to make the repair. gmc customer assistance was useless. took the vehicle to another dealer. they replaced the steering gear box. problem has not reoccured. was told by dealer that this has happened before and that the noise is caused by a pressure relief valve in the steering gear box relieving pressure. this has happened to one other person that i know of. *ak |
