Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Every 10-15,000 miles the brakes in my jeep grand cherokee 2000 have serious wear which causes them to shake wildly. to date, this has caused no crashes but when i am driving with the brakes like this i worry about what would happen in a sudden stop. i understand that thousands of other owners of jeep grand cherokees have this problem and worry about all these cars on the road. see related article on class action lawsuit. several jeep dealers have admitted to me off the record that this is a manufacture defect but there is nothing they can do. http://www.autoblog.com/entry/0771224811266534/ i would like to get this problem fixed every time it occurs but $1000 every 10,000 miles is something i can't afford which forces me to go longer before repairing them. the fact that thousands of people have this same problem and are driving on the roads every day scares me. i am shocked that jeep won't take responsibility.*ak |
