Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: A routine trip to have new tires put on my 1999 durango lead to major repairs to the vehicle. they could not do the alignment due to bad upper and lower ball joints. when taking it in for further inspection andservice, they had to replace "sloppy" upper and lower ball joints as well as adjust the loose steering gear. (the steering has always been lose but they've never done anything about it until now). the itemized work sheet does not indicate upper ball joints were replaced, yet stated they were. and bad upper and lower ball joints was not the full extent of what was wrong. we also had to replace the tie rods and sway bushings. on a vehicle that is 5 years old, had 55k miles and driven conservatively, these major repairs should not be needed. thankfully there were no accidents because of this.*ak |
