| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dodge intrepid 1997, fuel leak in the fuel rail. *bf the consumer did some research and discovered there was a recall on the o-rings, however when the consumer entered her vin into the database the information came back as the recall already being taken care of. 8-10 months later the engine light illuminated, however the dealer told the consumer the vehicle just needed a tune-up. after a few days the consumer began to smell a strong smell of gas, upon inspecting the vehicle, the mechanic stated the o-rings were leaking. the consumer had no idea it was the same recall she had researched about earlier. the consumer then realized it was and tried to get a refund, however the request was denied because the manufacturer stated the consumer knew about the recall and did not get it fixed. the consumer stated this is the third time she is having problems with the leaking. *jb |
