Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We bought the britax marathon car seat for my son in august 2004 and the chp would not install it due to the recall (which the store didn't tell us about at the time of purchase) i took it back to the store, they said a britax representative had already updated and "fixed" my seat and assured me that my seat was fine. they pointed to the new grey stickers covering the original white identification stickers on the car seat as proof of it being "fixed". the reason for the recall is belt slippage = loose belt - this is a problem i have experience many many times. britax then sent me a new belt to thread through the back of the car seat etc... very complicated and time consuming considering i had to go back to the chp to get the car seat inspected again. following this "second" update to the seat i was still having the same problem. i am now returning the seat to the store of purchase and will once again have to go back to chp to double check the seat. very frustrating considering the cost of the seat.*ak |
